SHKeeper is an open-source, non-custodial, self-hosted cryptocurrency payment processor with multiple features, developed by VSYS Host. It’s free and supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies.
How SHKeeper Operates?
SHKeeper could be installed directly on your own server, ensuring complete control and security without third-party involvement.
SHKeeper provides an API for integration. Based on your existing system, you can either use the provided API documentation or develop custom modules. For commonly used CMS platforms, SHKeeper offers free pre-built modules available on its GitHub repository, making it adaptable to a variety of systems or custom solutions.
SHKeeper works by generating and managing unique cryptocurrency addresses for each invoice. You’ll need a CRM, back-office software, or online store, etc. to handle client interactions and create invoices.
Once an invoice is created in your system and the client selects a cryptocurrency, your system sends a request to SHKeeper’s API gateway. SHKeeper then provides a unique cryptocurrency address and the amount to be paid. It continuously monitors this address, and upon receiving the payment, it sends a callback to your system or store to confirm the transaction.
SHKeeper is fully self-hosted, allowing for direct payment processing without third-party involvement or transaction fees, although standard blockchain or network fees still apply.
Key Updates
SHKeeper is continually evolving, and we are excited to share some of the latest updates that have been realized this summer.
Support for External Nodes
SHKeeper now supports the use of external nodes for most major cryptocurrencies, eliminating the need for users to run their own nodes. This reduces the server power required and makes it easier for smaller businesses to accept cryptocurrency payments.
Expanded Available Coins List
SHKeeper has added support for Polygon (MATIC) and Avalanche (AVAX), bringing the total number of supported cryptocurrencies to include BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, XMR, XRP, TRX, BNB, MATIC, AVAX, USDT (ERC20, TRC20, BEP-20, Polygon, Avalanche), and USDC (ERC20, TRC20, BEP-20, Polygon, Avalanche). Work is ongoing to integrate SOL (Solana) and TON (Telegram Open Network).
Enhanced Integration and Free Modules
SHKeeper is designed with integration flexibility in mind. It includes an API for seamless integration into existing systems. Users can either build their own modules or use free, ready-made modules for popular CMS platforms.
We are dedicated to improving SHKeeper for those who use it free of charge, making cryptocurrency acceptance more accessible to a broader range of users and businesses. In line with this, we have added free modules for PrestaShop and OpenCart. These modules are available on GitHub and can be downloaded and implemented without any cost.
The full list of available modules for popular platforms includes modules for WordPress/WooCommerce, WHMCS, PrestaShop, and OpenCart.
We are also working on adding a free module for Magento, which is expected to be available by the end of August 2024.
Summary
SHKeeper continues to enhance its offering in the cryptocurrency payment processing space. With support for external nodes, expanded coin support, and enhanced integration options, SHKeeper provides a flexible and robust solution for accepting cryptocurrency.
